I've been contacted by someone interested in recruiting photographers for photo assignments who wants to contact folks through this tribe. While I deeply appreciate that they asked (which I take as a sign of good faith) before just posting away, I wanted to shop the idea past y'all and see how folks felt about a potentially off-topic post such as this...
Thanks!

Re: Recruiting in this Tribe
Mon, February 16, 2009 - 11:54 PMI would be in favor of this, The fact they asked first is the main reason I would be in favor. That level of respect I find refreshing. ANd I wouldn't find that very off topic. I mean, I would think we would be using DSLR's... -

Tue, February 17, 2009 - 8:11 AMI agree with Scott. And if we take into concideration the fact that the topic of this tribe is digital slr, and we understand how vast a topic it is, I'm not sure why we would want to exclude the recruiting of dslr photographers. On the other hand, there is a tribe ( photographersneeded.tribe.net/ ) that already does this. I still agree with Scott. And in my opinion, we as photographers can always use another avenue to get our work seen.

Re: Recruiting in this Tribe
Wed, February 18, 2009 - 8:41 AMAs long as the respect level stays high I think it's OK. Perhaps limiting it to one "photographers wanted" thread to keep it more or less under control. It would also be nice for them to post a time limit for the request, if there is one, and other (supposedly) common sense information.
