Well, what I got from that piece was how the present product lines are bifurcated; the apparent rise in importance for video support on higher-end cameras, and some issues with electronic shutters; improving low-light performance. After that, I would agree: numerous vagaries. -

Interesting perhaps a plateau in 35mm full frame size, I would like to see a medium format Canon.
