These cameras cover a variety of price point and capability, I just learned of them, though the news is about a month old now:

They do indeed cover a "variety" of price-points, but they're all on the lower-end. The 230, 330, and 380 are "beginner"-oriented cameras.
The 300-series have flip'able back-panel LCD's; the x30 are the 10MP models, the 380 is 14MP.
Of course "lower-end" refers to the absence of pro-oriented features (e.g. enviro-sealed gaskets, sturdy metal body, frame-rates over 5fps, etc.)
Like all modern SLR's from all makers, they're capable of taking wonderful photo's -- those "pro" features don't improve the quality of the pictures (tho a high frame-rate helps action-photographers capture the "exact" moment).
