About the Speaker Akkana Peck is a freelance programmer and the author of the book, Beginning GIMP: From Novice to Professional. She has worked for a diverse collection of companies that include Netscape, Silicon Graphics, Sun, HP, and Apple, and has contributed to numerous open source projects such as GIMP and Mozilla.
